Drawing and painting has been a central part of Rebecca Marona's life from a very early age. In grade school her natural gift led her to continue painting throughout her life and eventually become one of Cape Cod's Artists and Art teachers.
As a former teacher, Rebecca used her ability to enhance her teaching and to share her gift with countless students.
During the 60's Rebecca moved to Riverside, CA and broadened her artistic abilities to photography, pottery, stitchery, drama, wood carving, sewing and singing professionally with her Dad's band the" Mellow Tones". When she married guitarist, Rob Marona, in the early 80's, she began to get more serious and entered local art shows, which led to her being involved in solo shows at hometown galleries.
In the 80's Rebecca decided to concentrate more efforts to painting, and variety still played an important part of her life. She began experimenting with various mediums only to find that she enjoyed painting with oil, watercolor and acrylics. After realizing she enjoyed more than one style and medium she decided to use the phrase, "A Variety of Arts" as part of her logo and studio name.
For the last six years Rebecca has been marketing her works through the internet and some selected galleries. Here you will see many of her works in oils, watercolor, acrylics, pen & ink and her latest venture, creating caricatures. You will hear selections from her CD, "It's About Time".
